At Wootey Infant School, we believe every child is unique, and their learning should reflect this. Our personalised approach ensures that each child is engaged, motivated, and excited to explore the world around them. Set within our fabulous and enriching school grounds, children benefit from a stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and discovery both indoors and outdoors.

Our highly skilled staff nurture each child’s natural desire to learn by providing opportunities to enquire, investigate, and make meaningful choices about their learning. Through carefully planned, engaging topics, children develop confidence and a love of learning, taking pride in sharing their achievements with others.

We enrich our curriculum with memorable first-hand experiences, including educational visits and visitors to the school. Trips to inspiring locations such as Marwell Zoo and Wisley bring learning to life, helping children make real-world connections and deepen their understanding.

It is important to us to create strong links with our local community.  Our children frequently visit, work and play with our friends from First Friends Nursery and Wootey Junior School.  We visit and sing throughout the year to our neighbours in Marlfield and Gilmour Gardens.  We learn about what makes our Wootey locality special, as well as recognising important features of Alton too.
